She has in fact, begun to learn horse riding and finding the rhythm. She did worry if would be more challenging than her previous horse-riding experience, but she couldn’t pass on the opportunity to enjoy horse riding on a vast ranch with a seaside view.

Her partner today is a Hallama, a variety of indigenous Jeju-do horse. The Hallama was bred from a Jeju-do native poly and an introduced species of racehorse. Hallama horses have a mild temperament and high endurance in despite their small size. They are very healthy feeing on grass that grows in the sea breezes of Jeju-do. Chae Rim was eager to commune with the locally bred Hallama.

She mounted a horse named ‘Mond’. From the first moment, she began to share her feelings with the horse. Horses understand that the rider depends on them and cares about them, and so, if they connect, they can begin to get close. Chae Rim was deeply moved by the connection she found with Mond and found her heart truly restored.

“Why did you call her Mond?”
“She has a diamond shape in on head.”
“Ha-ha. Hey Mond, you like diamonds just like me!”
